The Difference
Why Polished Concrete Belongs in Your Space
Polished concrete is the most architectural finish we install. Across Louisville, it is the floor of choice for retail showrooms, restaurant interiors, modern lobbies, warehouse showpieces, and upscale homes where the floor itself is a design feature. Done right, it looks like natural stone. Done right, it outlasts the building above it.
A Mechanical Finish, Not a Coating
Polished concrete is created by progressively finer diamond grinding and a densifier that hardens the slab from the inside. There is no coating to peel, no top coat to fail. The floor itself is the finish.
Built for High Traffic
Polished concrete is the floor used in big-box retail and distribution centers because nothing handles foot traffic, rolling loads, and forklifts the way it does. If it can handle a Costco, it can handle your space.
Low Maintenance for Life
A polished concrete floor needs almost nothing beyond regular dust mopping and an occasional damp mop. No re-coating, no waxing, no annual maintenance contracts.
30 Years of Industry Experience
Polishing is the most technical system we install. The grit progression, densifier timing, and final burnish all matter. Our crew brings 30 years of industry experience to every job.
Why Polished Concrete Wins
Polished Concrete vs a Coated Floor: What Actually Sets Them Apart
A coated floor is concrete with a layer of chemistry on top. Polished concrete is the slab itself, mechanically refined to a finish. The two systems look different, perform different, and age very differently.

Crack Repair
The Upgrade Worth Asking About
Polished concrete amplifies the slab beneath it. The grind and densifier process makes the existing concrete look like the design feature it deserves to be. That same effect is unforgiving on existing damage. If your slab has visible cracks, the right move is to repair them properly before we polish.
Our Crack Repair add-on cuts a V-channel along each crack, fills the channel with a polyurea putty harder than the slab itself, and feathers the cure flush with one final grind.
0% Financing Available for Qualified Buyers

FAQs
Polished Concrete Questions, Answered
Is polished concrete really a finish, or is it just sealed concrete?
It is a finish. Polished concrete is created by progressively finer diamond grinding and a chemical densifier that hardens the slab from the inside. The result is a stone-like surface that comes from the concrete itself, not a layer applied on top.
How long does polished concrete last?
Polished concrete is the longest-lasting floor finish we install. Because there is no coating layer to fail, a properly polished concrete floor lasts the life of the slab beneath it. Many commercial polished concrete floors are still performing 30 years after install.
Will polished concrete crack if my concrete cracks?
Existing cracks should be repaired before polishing, which is what our Crack Repair add-on handles. New cracks from major slab movement are rare on a properly maintained slab and we will identify any risk during the on-site consultation.
Is polished concrete slippery?
Polished concrete is no more slippery than ceramic tile or natural stone, and it can be modified with anti-slip treatment in environments where wet conditions are expected.
Can polished concrete be installed in a residential space?
Yes. Modern residential design has embraced polished concrete in kitchens, basements, sunrooms, and open-concept living spaces.
What gloss level should I choose?
It depends on the space. Satin reads warm and residential. Semi-gloss is the workhorse for retail and modern offices. High-gloss is the architectural showpiece. We walk through it with you during the on-site consultation.
How is polished concrete different from grind and clear?
Grind and clear stops after grinding and locks the slab under a polyaspartic clear coat. Polishing keeps refining the surface through finer and finer grits, then hardens it with a densifier and a final burnish, no top coat involved. Choose polishing for the sleeker architectural look. Choose grind and clear when chemical and stain resistance matters most.
What is the warranty on polished concrete?
Lifetime warranty on residential installs. 5-year warranty on commercial installs.
